July 25 and 26: Art in the Park

2008 Will be the 58th year an annual outdoor art event will be held by the Allied Arts Association. Formerly known as the Sidewalk Show, this year the show's name was changed to reflect the wonderful park setting where the event is held. Come join us at the festival this weekend in Howard Amon Park (Richland, WA) to enjoy the wide variety of artwork, music, food, and a beer & wine garden. More details here.

Visit the Allied Arts Gallery during the Art in the Park festival to see the Summer Celebration Show and the ever-changing selections by regional artists in the Townside Gallery room. We've extended our hours during the festival.

In the Gallery July 1- August 8, 2008:
It's a Summer Celebration Show!

This is a multi-media carry-in juried show running July 1 through August 8. See the best works by some of our regional talented artists. For a few more glimpses and a list of award winners, visit this page.

Beads Behind Bars

Girl Power in our community: Read about how Allied Arts Association artists are getting involved to help local troubled teens. Since that article was written, gallery artist Lucy Dole has taken the Girl Power classes to the next level by teaching jewelry classes to girls at the detention center directly. She visits the centers weekly, where the girls are eager to learn and create. Lucy is looking for any old beads or broken necklaces that you might consider donating to this great cause. Donations may be left at the Gallery marked for "Beads Behind Bars".
