Annual Scholarship Show

At the graduate level, Garric Simonsen a Master of Fine Arts student at Washington State University, Pullman, won a $2,500 scholarship for his work in mark making in oil, graphite and charcoal on wood.

The $500 Regional Graduating High School Senior award was won by Meghan Johns, Columbia High School, Burbank, for her photography.

Two $125 honorable mention awards were made. Carly Strecker, Kamiakin High School, won for her ceramics work, and Emily Gross, Hanford High School, received the award for her handmade jewelry. 

Two awards were made to Columbia Basin College students. Ross Quesnell won a $2,200 Scholarship for surreal paintings using oil, pastel and charcoal. Entering freshman Zach Ogle, currently a senior at Kamiakin, was awarded a $1,100 Scholarship for his ceramics work.
